Stone Woman, 2020

Stone Woman is a poetic exploration of desire as both ecstasy and burden. Through layered images of a female figure intertwined with stones, dried flowers, and rope, the series captures the tension between longing and weight, beauty and decay.

The body becomes both sculpture and landscape—grounded by gravity, yet reaching toward something beyond. Stones press into flesh, flowers crumble, rope binds and connects. Each composition holds the duality of desire: the pleasure that aches, the pain that illuminates.

In Stone Woman, ecstasy is not release, but resistance—a state of being held, suspended, transformed. The series invites reflection on embodiment, emotional gravity, and the ancient, silent strength of the feminine form.
