Voyages of Death, 2023
A photographic meditation on transformation, loss, and the cyclical nature of existence. Presented as triptychs, each set of images becomes a passage—three moments suspended in time, echoing birth, death, and rebirth.
The series draws on the symbolic language of nature and the body: figures submerged underwater evoke the primal memory of the womb, a return to the source; trees, caves and candles stand as ancient witnesses to cycles of decay and renewal; bodies and animals point at the sentient form yearning for freedom, while architecture grounds the ephemeral in structure and history.
Voyages of Death is not a destination, but a passage. A surrender. A ritual. The triptychs speak in contrasts—of presence and absence, surface and depth, memory and forgetting and act as visual altars of the thresholds we pass through, over and over again.
